Microsoft’s vision is one of security and interconnectivity, allowing organisations to control and share information for efficiency and productivity.

It is worth understanding that the long-term vision is have all the business apps sitting on Microsoft’s Power Platform, easily sharing the same the same data. This is a work in progress, but many are already sharing the same Dataverse platform, and all, have been easy connectors to achieve that vision of sharing a data pool while also applying a layer of security.
